Basis of data processing

The General Practitioner Mengel observes the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and all other data protection regulations relevant to this website. Definitions of the terms used (e.g. "personal data" or "processing") can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.

Data storage and processing when accessing the website

In order to be able to improve the quality of our web pages, we store data about the individual access to our pages for statistical purposes. When the website is accessed, data that your browser automatically transmits to the server on which the content is hosted is automatically stored in log files and, if necessary, processed. These are in detail:

  • Name of the accessed website, file
  • Date and time of the request, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval,
  • the access method / function required by the requesting computer,
  • the input values transmitted by the requesting computer (e.g. file name),
  • the operating system used by the user,
  • the browser type used by the user including version number,
  • the URL from which the file was requested / the desired function was initiated
  • Search terms and search engine used.

This data is collected exclusively in an anonymous form, so the data collected does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about specific persons. In particular, the IP addresses of the requesting computer are not saved. There is no merging of this data with other data sources that could possibly establish a personal reference.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the website operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https: //" address line of your browser and by the lock symbol in the browser line.

Contact form

Data transmitted via the contact form, including your contact details, will be stored in order to be able to process your request or to be available for follow-up questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent. The processing of the data entered in the contact form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your already given consent at any time. An informal e-mail notification is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the point of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. Data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or there is no longer any need to store data. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
